Why Patients Choose Radiant for Weight Loss
Weight Loss, Managed by Your Own Doctor.
⏰
Starts With Your Metabolism
Labs, medications, sleep, and health history come first, so your plan addresses why weight gain is happening — not just the number on the scale.
★
More Than a Prescription
Nutrition guidance, dietary planning, and lifestyle coaching come with every plan. When GLP-1 medication is appropriate, it’s used alongside those changes, not instead of them.
✓
Follow-Up That Continues
Regular check-ins, in person or by telehealth, with the same doctor who manages the rest of your health.
How Medical Weight Loss Works at Radiant
Medical weight loss at Radiant Primary Care is part of your primary care, not a separate program. It’s led by board-certified internists Dr. Krupa Gandhi and Dr. Yashsavi Sharad, who treat weight as a health issue with real causes — and treat you without judgment.
1. A full assessment. Your first visit reviews your health history, current medications, sleep, and labs to understand what’s driving weight gain, including metabolic and hormonal factors.
2. A plan built for you. Together you set realistic goals and a plan that includes nutrition guidance, dietary planning, and activity and lifestyle changes you can keep up.
3. Medication when appropriate. For the right candidates, your doctor may prescribe a GLP-1 medication (a class that includes semaglutide) alongside those changes. Whether it’s right for you depends on your health history, and your doctor will talk through benefits, side effects, and costs with you before you decide.
4. Ongoing follow-up. Regular check-ins — many by telehealth — track your progress, any side effects, and related health markers like blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol, and adjust the plan over time.

Medical Weight Loss Questions
Who is a good candidate for medical weight loss?
Adults whose weight is affecting their health or quality of life are often good candidates. Whether a plan includes medication such as GLP-1 therapy depends on your health history, current conditions, and medications, which your doctor reviews with you at your first visit.
Does insurance cover weight loss visits and GLP-1 medications?
Coverage for weight management visits and GLP-1 medications varies by plan. We accept Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and other major plans, and we’re happy to help verify your coverage. Self-pay visits are $175 for new patients and $125 for follow-ups.
Can weight loss follow-up visits be done by telehealth?
Many follow-up check-ins can be done by telehealth. You’ll come into our Millburn office when you need an exam, labs, or other in-person care.
